Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis are the two most popular Republicans in America.
But the two looked headed for a collision.
Donald Trump revealed a truth about Ron DeSantis no one was prepared to learn.
An emerging storyline in the press is that Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis are testing lines of attack against one another in anticipation of a showdown in the 2024 Republican presidential primary.
Trump supposedly threw the first shot when Trump declared any elected official that would not reveal their vaccination status was “gutless.”
This comment appeared to come in response to an interview on Fox News where DeSantis would not reveal if he received the booster.
DeSantis then criticized Dr. Fauci for pushing lockdowns in March 2020 and DeSantis told a podcast that he wished he had more data available at the time because he would have pushed back harder on Fauci closing the economy.
In that same interview, DeSantis stated that any attempt to create a conflict between he and Trump was a corporate media creation.
Sean Hannity asked Donald Trump if DeSantis was right that the left-wing corporate media tried to manufacture a fight between the two 2024 GOP frontrunners.
“Well, he is right,” Trump answered. “I get along great with Ron. Ron was very good on the Mueller hoax. He was right up front along with Jim Jordan, and all of the rest of them, they were fantastic. The Republicans really stuck together. And it was a great thing. And Ron was one of them. And Ron wanted to run and I endorsed him. And that helped him greatly.”
Trump then put the idea of a feud with DeSantis to bed by praising the job DeSantis did as governor of Florida as well as complimenting DeSantis personally.
“And he went on and he’s done a really terrific job in Florida, and I think you know, Ron has been very good,” Trump added. “He’s been a friend of mine for a long time. It’s totally fake news. I think Ron said last week, he said it very publicly, he says the press is never going to get in the middle of my friendship with Donald Trump, we’re not going to do that stuff. And he said it very strongly, I thought it was very interesting, actually. And very nice. But he said that, and I agree with him on that 100%. No, I have a very good relationship with Ron and intend to have it for a long time.”
DeSantis’ office also put out a statement dismissing any “Trump v. DeSantis feud” as a fake news media lie.
“It’s not a coincidence that this fabricated media narrative emerged during the worst week of Biden’s presidency to date, as it became clear Biden would not be able to deliver on Build Back Better, enact sweeping legislation to federalize elections, or ‘shut down the virus’ as he had promised during his campaign,” DeSantis’ statement read. “Governor DeSantis remains focused on Florida and works every day to earn Floridians’ support for re-election in November of this year.”
The media hopes the January 6 committee or Democrat prosecutors can keep Trump from running by filing criminal charges.
If Donald Trump doesn’t run for office Ron DeSantis is the GOP frontrunner for president.
DeSantis’ leadership against Biden and Dr. Fauci’s COVID tyranny makes DeSantis a favorite to win the election as DeSantis can make the 2024 contest a referendum on returning life to normal and leaving the biomedical police state behind.
The media hopes to take out DeSantis by goading Trump into publicly attacking DeSantis to destroy DeSantis’ standing with the GOP base.
But that strategy clearly failed.
