Fox News Channel is undergoing some programming changes.
Loyal viewers have noticed something wrong during recent broadcasts.
And Donald Trump noticed this change that could be the end of Fox News.
Liberal media critics have long complained that Fox News possesses a conservative bias.
Fox News executives always defended the network and chalked these complaints up to left-wing critics upset that a network would dare challenge the media’s pro-Democrat framing of the news.
Fox News used to live by the saying, “We report and you decide.”
But in recent months, the network’s daytime news programming took a sharp turn to the left.
One commentator who exemplified this strange change is Fox News legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano.
During the course of Robert Mueller’s investigation, Judge Napolitano continually offered far-fetched legal “analysis” that painted the picture of a President on the verge of indictment.
When the Mueller report finally revealed the investigation ended without any charges against the President, many Fox News viewers wondered why Napolitano was still on the air despite offering spectacularly wrong analysis.
The President was among these concerned Fox News viewers.
President Trump retweeted an account that stated, “When you look at the continuous incorrect statements by Napolitano over the past 2 years, it is fair to ask FNC why they allow him to have national air time. The man has been significantly wrong on at least 8 major occasions. Unacceptable! Take him off the air!”
Napolitano continued his anti-Trump analysis on Neil Cavuto’s program.
“Asking people who work for you to lie to federal investigators, which is what Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton were accused of doing, has traditionally been characters as a species of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors,'” Judge Napolitano stated.
Napolitano went on to say that President Trump did not want to see Robert Mueller testify before Congress because this nationally televised spectacle would raise uncomfortable questions about obstruction of justice.
Judge Napolitano continued, “I would think that if Mueller testifies, it will be the biggest audience since the finale of “Dallas” and “Who shot JR?” There will be a lot of back and forth. Republicans basically saying, “Why didn’t you investigate how this whole thing started?” A legitimate question. And Democrats saying, “Isn’t this obstruction of justice? Isn’t this obstruction of justice? Isn’t this obstruction of justice?” That latter Q&A is probably what the president doesn’t want…”
Some media observers wonder if Fox News is trying to “mainstream” their daytime news programming in order to make the channel more attractive should Rupert Murdoch’s son, Lachlan, want to sell the network.
There any many who believe Lachlan is not fully invested in Fox News Channel the way his father is.
And now that 21st Century Fox was sold to Disney, Fox News Channel could go on the open market in the near future too.
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
