Hillary Clinton has accepted her fate. If she wins the nomination for Democrat Party she is absolutely going to be facing Donald Trump in the direct elections.
This being her destiny (as it looks like Sanders will not be able to wrest the crown from Hillary) she’s now on the attack against her soon to be rival.
Of course Clinton is taking cheap shots against Trump, that’s the M.O. of a politician of her class.
Shortly after Memorial Day Clinton unleashed a brutal tirade against Trump saying his recent contributions to veterans groups totaling in the millions of dollars was done because he felt guilty after a reporter exposed him for not making contributions.
Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that Donald Trump does not deserve “much credit” for his donations to veterans groups, saying that the presumptive GOP nominee only did so because a reporter had to “shame” him into doing it.“Look, I’m glad he finally did it, but I don’t know that he should get much credit,” she told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “The Lead.” “I think the problem here is the difference between what Donald Trump says and what Donald Trump does.”She added, “It took a reporter to shame him into actually making his contribution,” though she didn’t specify a particular reporter by name.
Of course Mrs. Clinton wasn’t quick to volunteer how much she’s given to veteran groups in the past few years.
With a little bit of investigating it was soon revealed Mrs. Clintons donation totals to veteran groups was a paltry percentile of what she’s earned in the past decade.
From 2006 -2012 Mrs. Clinton and her husband only donated $105,000 to veterans groups. This in spite of each of them making in excess of $100 million dollars in that time.
On top of that it would appear since 2012 Clinton and her husband haven’t made additional donations to veteran groups. So while she might accuse Trump of only making donations recently…she certainly hasn’t.
The Clinton campaign, which compiled a list of contributions from publicly available tax returns at the request of a reporter, said the family foundation gave to eight groups around the country, which received grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. The groups included the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society; Operation Gratitude, a California-based charity that sends care packages to American troops; and a golf-based rehabilitation program in Tacoma, Wash.
Mrs. Clinton has also helped raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which supports the families of American military personnel who have died or been severely wounded during their service. They have not made any personal donations to veterans’ groups since 2012, according to the list.
Were anyone to believe Mrs. Clinton actually cared about veterans then they only need to review her handling of the Benghazi situation and how since the incident she’s publicly shamed and lied to the families of the deceased.
Mrs. Clinton is running a smear campaign against Trump pretending she is somehow more loyal and more dedicated to our military.
Do you think that’s true?
