Despite what the liberal media might want the American people to believe, most Americans actually want there to be some kind of standards and protocol to be followed when it comes to the immigration of Syrian refugees.
And that of course is because the refugees are coming from some of the most violent places on earth with an extreme hatred for most things Western.
Of course some think we need to be extremely strict on allowing refugees in, some think calls to block refugees from the U.S. entirely are a little to extreme. They would like them to come in provided there are systems in place to prevent people from abusing our open borders.
And while that’s the majority of the U.S. population, we’re still being led by a lawless and egotistical President who does whatever he pleases and shows contempt for the wishes of the people.
How so exactly?
Well Obama’s most recent maneuver is to grant more than 8,000 Syrians amnesty so they can stay here in the U.S. forever.
These refugees are already here.
And Obama thinks they should stay, so he gave them temporary amnesty.
Keep in mind these 8,000 refugees are being supported almost entirely by U.S. taxpayers.
Here’s another twist to the story.
The refugees are being amnestied as a part of a new program set up by the DHS to help protect Syrian refugees.
Many of the ones amnestied had already been living here for some time. Now, with the help of Obama’s DHS, they will be able to continue applying for jobs and work visas without fear of being deported.
As The Hill writes:
“Attacks against civilians, the use of chemical weapons and irregular warfare tactics, as well as forced conscription and use of child soldiers have intensified the humanitarian crisis.”
The Washington Times said the “temporary protected status” impacts Syrians who are in the U.S. as of Monday and may continue living here permanently.
The status lets such Syrians apply for work permits and other documents to live and work in America without fear of deportation.
Johnson’s order reportedly applies to 5,800 Syrians who were granted similar status under a 2012 program and 2,500 new arrivals lacking a more permanent status here.
Perhaps the most interesting part about all of this is how many Christians are being granted amnesty.
While Christians are one of the most heavily persecuted groups in the Middle East, only a small handful of the 8,000 being given amnesty (or allowed into the country) are Christians.
The majority of asylum seekers are Muslims.
The question is if Trump is elected will he allow this to continue. He’s already walked back his statements about banning all Muslims to only preventing people from immigrating from certain areas.
So you have to wonder if Obama’s new policy will be allowed to continue if a Republican is in office.
What do you think about Obama’s new policy for Syrians?
Is this a step in the right or wrong direction.
