Barack Obama left office as a hero to rank-and-file Democrats as well as members of the fake news media.
But that all changed in an instant.
And Barack Obama shook his head in rage after he saw this massive betrayal on CNN.
The second Democrat Presidential debate featured a scene no one could believe.
Candidate after candidate attacked Barack Obama’s record as a way to tear down former Vice President Joe Biden who sits on his wobbly perch as the frontrunner in the race.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and former Obama administration Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro ripped into Obama’s record on deportation to claim that Biden consented to a racist record of removing illegal immigrants from the country.
New Jersey Senator Cory Booker attacked Obama’s record on race in order to poke holes in Biden’s support from black voters.
And Senators Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris all ripped the Obamacare status quo as a failure for government run healthcare.
This did not sit well with top voices in the Democrat Party.
Center for American Progress president and CEO Neera Tanden scolded the debate participants on social media.
“The GOP didn’t attack Reagan, they built him up for decades,” Tanden tweeted. “Dem Candidates who attack Obama are wrong and terrible. Obama wasn’t perfect, but come on people, next to Trump, he kind of is.”
Henry Crespo, who served as the chair of the Democratic Black Caucus of Florida, called Politico ranting and raving about the Democrats attacking Obama’s record.
“Obama is an icon in our community. And they’re attacking his legacy Obamacare? And Joe Biden is the one defending it?” Crespo raged to Politico.
“We were sitting here watching this and wondering: ‘What the hell are you doing? What is wrong with our party?’ It’s like they want to lose,” Crespo added.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder – who is also one of the worst race baiters in America – warned Democrats to leave Obama alone.
“To my fellow Democrats. Be wary of attacking the Obama record. Build on it. Expand it. But there is little to be gained – for you or the party – by attacking a very successful and still popular Democratic President,” Holder tweeted.
Democrats are worried that the constant attacks on Obama’s record will depress the black vote in the Democrat primary.
Black voter participation had reached a record 66 percent in 2012.
But it dipped to 59 percent in 2016 – and Hillary Clinton and the Democrats paid the price as they lost Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin for the first time in a generation.
Democrats don’t want to leave anything to chance next November.
But if the black vote dips or stays at the level it did in 2016, then Donald Trump will win re-election.
