And Alexandria Ocasio just made this threat to take down Joe Biden in 2024.
The Green New Deal is the crown jewel of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s scheme to turn America into a socialist nation.
From the moment Joe Biden began running for president in 2019 Biden bought in lock, stock and barrel on the plan to destroy the American energy industry and reorder the United States into a socialist economy.
Once in office Biden halted new drilling permits on federal lands, canceled construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, and pushed through new rules designed to force Americans to drive costly and inefficient electric vehicles.
But Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t want compliance with her agenda most of the time.
Ocasio-Cortez demands 100 percent adherence to the socialist agenda.
And Ocasio-Cortez made that clear in an interview with the socialist magazine Jacobin where Ocasio-Cortez tore into Biden for approving the Willow oil drilling project in Alaska.
“This lurch to the right at a time when the Right is scrambling and lost in the desert on how to even win an election after these stunning losses — I think it’s a profound miscalculation. And it is quite dangerous,” Ocasio-Cortez declared.
Ocasio-Cortez cautioned Biden to take heed of “who it was that put him over the top,” meaning that Biden should not count on the Democrat Party base to turn out for Biden in 2024 if Biden does not pledge total adherence to the left’s policy agenda.
The interview with Jacobin was accompanied by a statement from Ocasio-Cortez and other far-left members of Congress blasting Biden for trying to pull off the Bill Clinton triangulation strategy on domestic energy.
“The Biden administration has committed to fighting climate change and advancing environmental justice—today’s decision to approve the Willow project fails to live up to those promises,” the statement read. “Their decision ignores … the irrefutable science that says we must stop building projects like this to slow the ever more devastating impacts of climate change.”
Joe Biden put in place a series of policies to destroy the American domestic energy agenda by the 2030s.
Biden’s new regulations will force nearly two-thirds of Americans to purchase electric cars by the next decade.
But this Green New Deal agenda is not popular.
A Gallup poll found just 12 percent of Americans are seriously considering purchasing one.
Not coincidentally, the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll shows just 39 percent of Americans approve of the job Joe Biden is doing as president.
The Real Clear Politics polling average shows Donald Trump leading Joe Biden by 1.7 points.
Biden’s handlers know Biden is facing a difficult 2024 re-election campaign as the American people know Biden is a failed president.
And so Biden is trying to trick voters into thinking he is moderate on the issues by offering up empty gestures on issues — such as energy and gas prices — where voters think Joe Biden’s policies made their lives worse.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez warned that political maneuvering is unacceptable, and liberals would stay home if Biden kept it up.
