Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants a fight.
And she is determined to force Democrats into another losing battle.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just gave Chuck Schumer an ultimatum that made his life miserable.
Ocasio-Cortez and fellow unhinged left-wing lunatic California Congressman Ted Lieu fired off a letter to Chuck Schumer demanding Schumer and the Democrat Senate majority to declare Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch perjured themselves in their confirmation hearings when asked about Roe v. Wade.
“We cannot allow Supreme Court nominees lying and/or misleading the Senate under oath to go unanswered. Both GOP & Dem Senators stated SCOTUS justices misled them. This cannot be accepted as precedent. Doing so erodes rule of law, delegitimizes the court, and imperils democracy,” Ocasio-Cortez posted in a tweet accompanying her and Congressman Lieu’s letter.
Our Constitutional Republic cannot tolerate Supreme Court Justices who lied in order to get confirmed. The legitimacy of the Court is at stake.

The left’s rage about the justices Trump nominated to the Supreme Court – Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett – providing the decisive votes to strike down the historical wrong of Roe v. Wade has not subsided.
Ocasio-Cortez and Lieu are not the only Democrats to claim Kavanaugh and Gorsuch lied.
West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin falsely accused Gorsuch of lying during his confirmation hearings.
“I regret any time someone that you’re confirming in any public position is not being direct or truthful,” Manchin told CNN.
But Kavanaugh and Gorsuch did not lie during their confirmation hearings.
And it isn’t even close.
Gorsuch merely said Roe was settled law in that it was a Supreme Court precedent.
The majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health noted that the court overturned precedent all the time.
Justice Samuel Alito cited the 1896 Plessy v. Ferguson decision which wrongly upheld segregation under the principle of “separate but equal” as a historical wrong that the court corrected with the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision.
In his concurring opinion Justice Kavanaugh wrote that when overturning a precedent the court must decide that “the prior decision is not just wrong, but is egregiously wrong.”
Kavanaugh explained that precedent and the principle of stare decisis – let the decision stand – is nothing more than the “accumulated wisdom of the judges who have previously addressed the same issue,” however Kavanaugh argued that stare decisis is “not absolute, and indeed cannot be absolute.”
Abortion on demand is the central ideological value of the modern left.
Liberals like Ocasio-Cortez continue to thrash about over the fact that the Supreme Court ended the practice nationwide.
