Al Gore, former Vice-President of the United States, one-time Presidential nominee and creator of the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” recently issued a dire warning to the world.
After the country of Oman recorded a record high, low temperature, of 108.7 degrees, Al Gore took to Twitter to let the world know that he thinks we’re on course for an environmental catastrophe.
Gore is a firm believer that the rising temperatures recorded across the globe signal that the Earth is going to go through cataclysmic changes leading to the melting of the polar ice caps and catastrophic flooding as a result.
“Another ominous record has been set,” Gore tweeted, citing a Washington Post article. “The city of Quriyat, Oman, hit an overnight LOW of 108.7 degrees on Tuesday – likely the highest minimum daily temp recorded on Earth. For those suffering from the heat in the U.S. this weekend, be safe and stay cool!”
This was partially in response to the fact that the last time Oman recorded a minimum high temperature in 2011 it was 107.4 degrees.
Just a few days prior to these record, low temps the country had a brush with setting a record high temperature. On June 26th Oman recorded a high of 121.6 degrees, which was only 2 degrees lower than the max temperature for the country.
Despite Gore’s prognostications about a grim environmental future, since his movie came out in 2006 none of the fire predictions he made about the future of the environment have come true.
The Earth’s polar ice caps have not melted in massive fashion, the coastlines have not been swallowed by ice melt. In fact, in some areas of the world the average temperature are actually going down; and for that matter there is data to show parts of the Antarctic ice has actually started to grow in thickness.
Gore and many of his Democrat counterparts are upset that President Trump has withdrawn from the Paris Climate Accord.
They believe the United States should be regulated by foreign bodies so we can help save the Earth from an eventual environmental apocalypse.
President Trump, on the other hand, doesn’t believe that manmade global warming is a real issue and this is why he removed the U.S. from the climate accords.
