The Obama administration’s collusion with former British spy Christopher Steele during the 2016 election is a massive scandal.
Steele produced the now famous “Russia dossier,” which the FBI and Obama administration used to spy on Trump and sabotage his campaign.
But now one of the leakers connected to the dossier has been caught red handed and it’s bad news for Obama and the FBI.
Bruce Ohr was a high-ranking Justice Department official who was demoted for covering up the fact that he held a meeting with Steele during the 2016 election.
That was just scratching the surface.
Ohr’s wife worked for Fusion GPS – the firm that hired Steele to put the dossier together – to collect opposition research on Trump.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley fired off a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein requesting all communications between Steele and Ohr.
The Federalist reports:
Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has requested all communications between Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele, who put together an opposition research dossier on President Trump.
Ohr was demoted within the DOJ shortly after news broke that he held secret meetings with Steele and Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, who was hired by opposition research firm Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on Trump. That resulted in the dossier of salacious, unverified claims that was funded by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
In one of these meetings, Steele told Bruce Ohr he was “desperate that Donald Trump not get elected.” This bias against Trump was not disclosed to the court when the FBI used the dossier to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to surveil Trump’s campaign associates.
To make matters worse, Ohr was leaking information to Steele after Steele was cut loose by the FBI for lying about his contacts with the media.
DOJ official Bruce Ohr, whose wife was paid by Fusion GPS, funneled information from Christopher Steele to the FBI after the FBI terminated Steele as a spy for lying about his leaks to media. https://t.co/b8I0dL0SH8

Rosenstein has a history of not complying with Congressional requests for documents.
Will Rosenstein continue the cover up by stonewalling Grassley?
Or will Rosenstein finally obey the Constitution and comply with the Senator’s request?
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this story.
