The political left own many of the tech properties on the Internet.
It might even be said, the left own the Internet. Most of the top 20 tech companies in the world are extremely left-leaning.
And while they claim they offer their services as a platform for people to discuss varying viewpoints; recent attacks on conservatives have indicated this may be a bald-faced lie.
On Friday, a popular Facebook and Instagram star had his Instagram account deleted.
John Burk, a veteran of several tours in Iraq, discovered his account had been deleted off of Instagram without provocation.
Burk is not known to be excessively controversial, not in the same way conspiracy-theorist Alex Jones was.
Most of what’s made Burk famous in conservative circles has to do with his work with veterans and occasional political commentary.
Yet his account was deleted without warning and without provocation.

Sadly the deletion of his account is not unique.
Shortly after his account was deleted other popular conservatives on social media had their accounts deleted as well.
And every time the owners of these accounts were provided with a nonsensical explanation by Instagram as to why their accounts had been taken off the popular photo/video sharing program.
Conservatives are growing concerned that their right to free speech is in the crosshairs.
And the owners of these tech companies don’t deny they have a left-leaning bias.
Jack Dorsey, the owner of Twitter, admitted Twitter has a left-leaning bias. Though he claimed it didn’t affect content distribution.
On Facebook, the exact opposite is true.
PragerU, a moderately conservative Facebook page with over 3 million followers, recently reported several of their videos had been removed because of “hate speech” and many of their posts weren’t distributed to their 3 million followers.

As these bans/deactivations and reprisals become episodic it grows increasingly difficult for even the left to maintain there is no war on conservatives…
Especially when pages owned by Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and other left-leaning political agitators remain untouched by the political giants.
