But this senator just cracked the case on Barack Obama’s role in the crime of the century.
Obamagate is now the biggest political crime in American history.
The Obama administration illegally leaked the fact that former National Security Advisor Lt. General Michael Flynn was picked up on a FISA wiretap speaking to the Russian Ambassador during the presidential transition.
Flynn’s conversation was benign, but the Deep State leaked the call to frame Flynn as a traitor to Russia to keep the Russian collusion investigation – which started under the Obama administration – alive.
The Justice Department recently decided to file a motion in court to drop the criminal charges the FBI entrapped Flynn in and all hell broke loose.
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul appeared on Fox News and said the developments in the Flynn case proved that Barack Obamaknew every last detail of the FBI’s plan to frame Lt. General Flynn – a decorated 33-year veteran of the United States military – as a rogue that betrayed his country to Russia.
“I think the government made a big mistake bringing these charges against General Flynn and we never should have been listening to his phone call and shouldn’t have been trying to entrap him into or create a crime,” Paul told host Martha MacCallum.“They never thought he committed any crime, they brought him in to try to create a crime. What a terrible travesty of justice.”
Paul explained to MacCallum how none of these events could have unfolded without Obama’s knowledge and consent.
“And I don’t think anything like this could have happened without President Obama,” Senator Paul continued. “I completely believe that not only did he know, and others have already said that he knew about the conversation, he knew about trying to go after General Flynn and it was being directed from the White House, so I have every expectation that President Obama is in the middle of this.”
Paul based his comments on the fact that Department of Justice documents showed that when then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates arrived at a January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting to brief Obama on the Flynn call, Yates was surprised to learn Obama already knew of Flynn’s conversation with the Russian Ambassador.
“I really, strongly believe that President Obama gave specific and direct oversight and direct permission for this. Think about it,” Paul added. “The media have treated President Obama with kid gloves. Someone needs to ask him directly ‘Did you approve of Operation Crossfire Hurricane?’ I think the answer is yes.”
Donald Trump and many of his supporters believe Republicans in the Senate should subpoena Obama so he could explain exactly what he knew and when he knew it while under oath.
