Barack Obama’s eight years in office exhausted Americans through his divisive rhetoric.
But now that Obama is an ex-President, Obama is taking his rhetoric and actions to a dangerous new level.
And Barack Obama told one lie about America that will make any patriot’s blood boil.
Obama’s new gig is co-hosting a podcast with aging left-wing rock star Bruce Springsteen.
In one episode of their podcast, Obama discussed the new push by Democrats in Congress to pass legislation dealing with paying reparations for slavery.
The legislation sets up a commission to study the topic, but everyone understands the ultimate result will be a recommendation that the government pay upwards of trillions of dollars in reparations for slavery to black Americans.
“The commission shall examine slavery and discrimination in the colonies and the United States from 1619 to the present and recommend appropriate remedies,” the bill states.
Obama claimed that even though the American government fought a bloody Civil War where 600,000 Americans died to end slavery once and for all, America was inherently a racist nation because the “systematic oppression and discrimination of black Americans continued under Jim Crow.”
Former President Obama claimed the only reason he could not muscle a reparations bill through Congress is because white Americans are racists.
“And what I saw during my presidency was the politics of white resistance and resentment. The talk of ‘welfare queens’ and the talk of the ‘undeserving poor.’ And the backlash against affirmative action,” Obama added.
Obama did make one truthful statement that a reparations bill, which would pay trillions of dollars to black Americans over 150 years after slavery ended and confiscate money from white, Hispanic and Asian Americans that never owned slaves and aren’t related to anyone that owned slaves, would be politically toxic and destroy the Democrat Party’s electoral prospects.
“All that made the prospect of actually proposing any kind of coherent, meaningful reparations program struck me as, politically, not only a nonstarter but potentially counterproductive,” Obama added.
Nonetheless, the Biden administration supports a commission to study reparations for slavery.
“He certainly would support a study of reparations,” press secretary Jen Psaki told the press during a briefing. “He understands we don’t need a study to take action right now on systemic racism, so he wants to take actions within his own government in the meantime.”
As the party base fully embraces “woke” politics and cancel culture, the Democrat Party moves in a more anti-American direction.
When Obama ran for President in 2008 it was on the promise of post-partisan and post-racial promise.
But just 12 years after first entering the White House, Obama is just another identity politics scold running down America as a racist and inherently evil country because that is where the base of the party resides.
