Donald Trump just received a massive political gift.
It confirmed everyone’s worst fears about the Obama administration and the FBI.
And Donald Trump got his hands on a smoking gun that Barack Obama hoped would never see the light of day.
On February 14, 2017,The New York Times drove the collusion narrative into high gear with a story claiming the intelligence community intercepted communications between Trump campaign officials and known members of Russia intelligence.
The New York Times reported:
Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.
American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said.
Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey even testified that the story was “wrong,” but that did not stop the jackals in the fake news media from spending the next two years feeding this conspiracy theory about the Trump campaign and illicit ties to the Russian government’s alleged operation to meddle in the 2016 election.
Robert Mueller never charged any Americans for conspiring with the Russians, but fake news reporters and Democrats hung their hats on the Mueller report, claiming there was “insufficient evidence” to establish a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to mean there was some evidence.
That lie was thoroughly debunked when Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham released FBI documents from early 2017 pertaining to what the FBI’s Russia investigation has uncovered.
As opposed to The New York Times claiming the intelligence community had hard evidence of Trump campaign officials communicating with members of Russian intelligence, FBI agent Peter Strzok – who was leading the investigation at the time – wrote down notes revealing that the FBI had no evidence that any member of the Trump campaign was in contact with Russian intelligence.
“[W]e have not seen evidence of any individuals affiliated with the Trump team in contact with IOs [Intelligence Officials]. . . . We are unaware of ANY Trump advisors engaging in conversations with Russian intelligence officials,” Strzok’s notes read.
That means the entire New York Times February 14, 2017 story was a lie, the FBI knew it was a lie, but they still allowed the lie to spread like wildfire across the fake news media because it suited their anti-Trump purposes.
In addition, Graham released documents that revealed that the primary source for Christopher Steele’s bogus dossier was not a Russian, but a contract employee at Steele’s firm.
This individual was also not a Russian.
The FBI also knew the dossier was garbage because in an interview with the primary sub-source, the sub-source disputed many of Steele’s claims of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
“Critically, the document shows that Steele’s ‘Primary Sub-source’ disagreed with and was surprised by how information he gave Steele was then conveyed by Steele in the Steele dossier. For instance, the ‘Primary Sub-source’: did not recall or did not know where some of the information attributed to him or his sources came from; was never told about or never mentioned to Steele certain information attributed to him or his sources; he said that Steele re-characterized some of the information to make it more substantiated and less attenuated than it really was; that he would have described his sources differently; and, that Steele implied direct access to information where the access to information was indirect,” the documents revealed.
The FBI knew the entire time they were running this investigation that the predicate – that there was some kind of illegal or underhanded relationship between the Trump campaign and Russia – was a hoax from the very start.
From the very start, the FBI knew the Russian collusion investigation was based on a hoax.
The only question now is if the FBI determined that the Obama administration participated in cranking up this falsehood.
