Democrats are melting down over the growing criminal investigation into Ilhan Omar committing immigration fraud.
Federal authorities raided Omar’s home, collected DNA evidence, and seized family members’ phones as part of a probe to determine if Omar committed immigration fraud when she married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009, a man alleged to be her brother.
If convicted, Omar faces denaturalization and deportation.
No one on the left is more livid over the investigation into Ilhan Omar than New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Omar’s fellow “Squad” member.
At a campaign event for Maine Senate Democrat challenger Troy Jackson, Ocasio-Cortez ranted that the investigation into Omar was an example of “weaponization” of the government.
“First and foremost, everything that we are seeing unfold right now is an absolute weaponization of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, point blank period,” Ocasio-Cortez began.
“And I want to zoom out, you know, if you’re having a conversation with someone that isn’t sure about the details of what’s happening in the news and whatnot, just know that it has been standard practice in order to protect the integrity of our elections that the FBI and the DOJ do not take actions like these within a certain time frame of an election, regardless of what is happening in any circumstance of an investigation,” Ocasio-Cortez raged,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Ocasio-Cortez cheered on the lawless and unconstitutional witch hunts Democrat prosecutors threw at President Trump in hopes of rigging the 2024 election while claiming the Omar raid was an “October surprise.”
“And so the very fact that this is happening in October and September tells you, period, that these agencies have been weaponized and compromised,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
And Ocasio-Cortez ignored the fact that a federal judge in DC, the most Democrat jurisdiction in America, signed off on the search warrant.
Ocasio-Cortez then listed off the so-called scandals about Trump and the GOP that Democrats and their allies in the fake news media are trying to convince voters are real.
“So what we have to do, whether it’s this, whether it’s the corruption that we’ve seen with crypto and the ballroom and all of these things, is that we’ve known that Kash Patel has purged the FBI of many serious investigators. We’ve known that the Department of Justice has also been weaponized in its absolute groundless indictments of everyone from Tish James to Jerome Powell and so on and so forth,” Ocasio-Cortez went on to say.
Ocasio-Cortez then pledged that if Democrats take power, that on day one they will open a new series of endless witch hunts that she declared would end in criminal prosecutions of Trump and his administration officials.
“Day one, we need to be opening investigations into the heads of every single one of these agencies, and we need to hold them accountable. I’m talking subpoenas. I’m talking investigations. I’m talking, if necessary, and if the evidence leads us there, to court,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
“Because I don’t care if you are a criminal on Main Street or a criminal on Pennsylvania Avenue. Everyone must be held to the same standard and rule of law. And we will never get our country back if we allow criminals to have cabinet seats in the United States of America. Oh, goodness. Thank you,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.
Conservatives argued that Democrats aren’t even pretending they want power to make lives better for the American people.
Ocasio-Cortez revealed that Democrats’ true goal is playing out the revenge fantasies they’ve held for ten years to punish President Trump for the “crime” of winning the 2016 Presidential Election.
