Deep state leakers are once again plotting to sabotage President Trump.
Trump got blindsided by the latest attack.
And all hell broke loose when Trump asked Pete Hegseth this shocking question.
The Washington Post reported that at a cabinet meeting held at Camp David, President Trump pressed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth about why the military kept him in the dark about running low on interceptors and long-range missiles, which the media claimed forced Trump to call off planned strikes against Iran.
“President Donald Trump’s frustration over the Iran war boiled over at Camp David last week, where he demanded answers from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on why he had apparently been misled on extreme munitions shortages that now threaten to limit military options with Iran, two people familiar told The Washington Post,” the Post reported.
The encounter took place on the sidelines of his Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Friday, where Trump vented at Hegseth that he thought the munitions issue “had been fixed,” according to both persons familiar with the conversation, who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity due to fear of retaliation.
Trump blasted the story as false, saying the U.S. military possesses a full stockpile of munitions and that whoever leaked this story is a traitor who should spend a lengthy amount of time in prison.
“The U.S. has massive amounts of “munitions,” especially of certain types. Additionally, large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed. Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in our country’s history. The “leakers” of these treasonous statements are being hunted down. Long-term jail sentences will be sought!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also ripped the Post’s reporting, saying the paper printed a fictional account of a conversation between Trump and Hegseth that never took place.
“This is 100% fake news. Literally never happened. And President Trump has the utmost confidence in Secretary Hegseth,” Leavitt wrote on X.
“I was at Camp David with President Trump and Secretary Hegseth. This literally never happened, and we told the Washington Post that repeatedly. This B.S. story was shopped to many outlets by someone clearly out to disparage the Secretary, for whatever reason. Unfortunately for them, the President loves the Secretary and thinks he’s doing a tremendous job. FAKE NEWS!” Leavitt added.
That left the question lingering about why the deep state would leak a false story about America running low on munitions to the Washington Post.
President Trump is attempting to negotiate a peace deal to end the war.
The deep state desires the war to continue so it can force President Trump into a regime change operation.
Leaking that America is low on missiles could cause the Iranians to adopt a hardline based on the false presumption that they are winning, which makes negotiations impossible and escalation inevitable
